Alhambra ticket price: the regulated public price of the Alhambra General day ticket (Nasrid Palaces, Alcazaba, Partal and Generalife) is €21, set by the Junta de Andalucía Order of 17 July 2025 (in force since 1 August 2025). Tickets bought in advance also carry a management fee. With that fee, the Patronato’s own prices page showed €22.27 on 8 November 2026, while the official sale site was reported at €22.08 (Ideal, 7 November 2026). Children under 12 go free but still need a ticket; the reduced General price is €14 (plus fee). Buy only on the official site tickets.alhambra-patronato.es, by phone on +34 858 889 002, or at the monument’s ticket machines, up to 23:59 the day before your visit.

Last checked: 8 November 2026 against the Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife pages (Opening hours and prices, General Day Visit, FAQ in English and Spanish), the Junta de Andalucía public-price page and the BOJA no. 142 of 25 July 2025, plus Patronato press releases and Spanish news from the last 12 months. The official sale site itself blocked automated reading on 8 November 2026, so its figures are shown with attribution. Prices are in euros (EUR). This is a planning summary, not a personal visit report.

Public prices: Order of 17 July 2025 (BOJA no. 142, 25 July 2025), in force from 1 August 2025, via the Junta de Andalucía page. Article 2 of the Order says advance tickets are increased by the management fee in the current service contract. Patronato column: alhambra-patronato.es, read 8 November 2026. Last column: as reported by Ideal (7 November 2026) and Plain Spain (read 4 November 2026); the official sale site could not be read automatically on 8 November 2026. The Dobla de Oro rows differ more than the fee alone, and the Order does not explain why, so check the booking overview for your final total.

Why are there three prices?

The €21 figure is the Patronato’s regulated public price. Under Article 2 of the Order, tickets bought in advance are increased by the management fee in the ticketing service contract, and paying by bank card at the ticket office may also add a card fee. A new ticketing contract started on 1 November 2026 (Patronato press release, 17 September 2026). That may explain why the sale-site figures reported in November (€22.08) are lower than the figures still on the Patronato’s prices page (€22.27). This is our reading, not an official statement. The booking overview on the official site shows the amount you will actually pay.

How to book on the official site

  • Official channels: the sale site tickets.alhambra-patronato.es, phone +34 858 889 002, and ticket machines at the access pavilion and the Andalusí monuments (Corral del Carbón, Bañuelo, Dar al-Horra). The Spanish FAQ calls the official site the “only official and guaranteed channel”, where the official price is always shown.
  • Deadline: advance tickets are sold online, by phone and at machines until 23:59 the day before the visit, paid by bank card.
  • Same day: the ticket office at the access pavilion sells only same-day tickets, subject to availability, and only up to 2 hours before the Nasrid Palaces slot (Spanish FAQ).
  • Names and ID: tickets are personal and non-transferable, linked to each visitor’s ID card or passport. Carry the original document with your QR ticket (printed or on your phone).
  • Limits: the prices page says one person can buy at most 10 advance tickets per person, bank card and month. The Spanish FAQ says there is no limit on the number of booking references, with up to 60 tickets per reference. Plan around the stricter rule.
  • No changes: once paid, the date and time cannot be changed and there is no “reserve now, pay later”. Refunds apply only if the Patronato causes the cancellation, or in the cases set by Andalusian treasury rules.
  • Name change: possible up to the day before, by phone on +34 858 889 002. The number of names you can change depends on the size of the booking (1 name for 5–9 tickets, up to 6 for 51–60).
  • Collecting at the monument: if you pick up tickets at a ticket office or machine, do it at least 1 hour before your Nasrid Palaces time.

Official site vs resellers

  • Price: resellers and tour sites usually bundle the ticket with a guide or other extras, so their price is higher than the €22.08–€22.27 range above. The Patronato itself does not offer guided tours (FAQ); it offers audioguides.
  • Risk: in May 2026 the Patronato warned about agencies selling “presale” bookings that do not guarantee entry, with last-minute cancellations even at the gate (Ideal, 1 May 2026).
  • Bots: the Patronato has added double identification checks and no longer releases last-minute tickets at a fixed time, to stop bots from buying them (RTVE, 3 June 2026, interview with Patronato director Rodrigo Ruiz-Jiménez).
  • Groups of 11 to 30 people count as group visits, and tourist groups must be led by an accredited guide. Authorised agents have 39% of annual ticket capacity (Patronato prices page).
  • Type the official address yourself rather than clicking ads. The ticket name must match the visitor’s ID.

If tickets are sold out

  • Check the official site again. Part of the capacity is held for institutional programmes, and unused tickets can be released for general sale later (Spanish FAQ, citing Art. 3.2.5 of the Order of 29 May 2023).
  • Change the ticket type: the Gardens ticket covers everything except the Nasrid Palaces; the Night Nasrid Palaces ticket gets you into the palaces; also check Alhambra Experiences and Dobla de Oro for the same dates.
  • Try the ticket office early on the day, for same-day availability.
  • New combined tickets from 7 November 2026 add the Paseo del Duque de Galatino (Carmen de los Porcel gardens and Torres Bermejas): Alhambra General + Paseo reported at €26.29, and Gardens + Paseo at €16.82 (Ideal, 7 November 2026).
  • Avoid unofficial sellers offering dates that show as sold out on the official site.

Recent changes (last 12 months)

  • August 2026, earthquakes: the monument closed as a precaution after seismic activity in Granada province, and the Patronato refunded Nasrid Palaces tickets for the affected day. The Alcazaba and Dobla de Oro visits were suspended for a time (Sur in English, 19 August 2026).
  • September 2026: some battlements on the Torre del Homenaje and Torre Quebrada were fenced off as a precaution (Patronato, 1 September 2026). The Alcazaba reopened with an adapted route, which may still change (Patronato press release dated 29 September 2026).
  • 1 November 2026: a new ticket sale and management contract began (Sicomoro Servicios Integrales, 18 months), with virtual queues, real-time capacity releases and QR plus ID gates (Patronato, 17 September 2026).
  • 7 November 2026: two new combined tickets with the Paseo del Duque de Galatino (Ideal, 7 November 2026).
  • Earlier, from 1 August 2025, the General public price rose to €21 and Gardens/Night Palaces to €12, an inflation-linked update of 17.1% (Patronato press release, 25 July 2025).
